Change in 08 by Coonass Change in 08 by Coonass
Alright, more political fodder from my starkly conservative perspective. It seems that change is the theme of this presidential election, Obama preached change, Hillary preached change, even McCain likes to pull the change card now and again.

However, what they don’t mention in the kind of change they wish to implement, on the left, that change takes the shape of communism, isolationism, and various pseudo "reforms".
On the right, McCain says he wants to keep some things the same, like the war and the tax cuts, and some different, like our energy and immigration policy. However, both sides are chalk full of maybes, possiblys, not out of the questions, and its on the table. In short no one wants to piss anyone off, so no one is being up front and honest about what they're going to do when they’re elected, which is something I'm not particularly thrilled about

Also, Obama past record (His preachers, and some of his activist activities) and some of the stands (gun control, foreign policy, health care, and education) he’s taken brings into question his "progressive" agenda. I'm not gonna lie, if Obama gets elected and does half the things I figure he’s gonna do, Im not going to be able to recognize this county anymore, and that scares the hell outta me.

on the piece, i got all the original pics from wikipedia and edited them in photoshop

If I was still my younger, and more vivacious, self I would probably agree to support Paul come hell or high water, as hes the only one who actually shrink the government. However, as I have matured I've found that when you bet on a crippled race horse, you lose, and that the lesser of two evils is usually better than the greater, even if you know you had no part in it. At this point in the game there is no one who has a chance of getting elected who is going to solve our problems. However, we need a stop-gap measure to hold things together until younger conservatives (like say Bobby Jindal) become viable candidates for the presidency. Now, Romney is not my first choice, but given the alternative we have to make do with an off brand band-aid, so to speak. In summary, I am not yet prepared for the collapse of the union, so I need things to limp along until I finish my self sufficiency prepping and close the deal on that acreage in northern Louisiana.

I wanted so hard to believe that President Obama was just a honest, naive guy that would become another puttet of his party and nothing would get done.

He's the puppet master, first he starts appointing people that support 'fair news' and 'Internet Fairness', basiclly taking the power in those industries away from the big companies, sounds great right? Thats what I figured at first, problem is the only people that can fight off goverment control are the big companies.

Then he kicks a major network from the press corp. Yeah Fox has a big right wing bias, as big as CNN and PBS's left wing bias but that doesn't make the an illegitement (misspelled that) source of news.

He's going after our right to the free flow of press. Who know whats coming next.

Guys, pls don't say you just compared Obama (the best thing that happened to America since 8 years) with mass murders and lunatics like Stalin and Hitler.

He might say somethig that is not accepted by everybody and even might be a bit controversal....

But, gosh dang it, he's elected president of the states unlike a certain Ex President.......

Do I have to go on?!?

Do please, I'd love to hear what else you have to say.

Also, do you mind me asking to tell me what you honestly know about Stalin and Hitler? And how they are unlike Obama?

I mean, let's face it. Everyone knows their names and that it always has a negative connotation. But do you honestly know how Stalin and Hitler came to power, what the situation was before and after they did, and what they did while in office?

What people need to relize is that Obama is the Puppet, Just like Clinton, Just like Bush, and Now Obama, they are all puppets to the Bank Elitests, America needs to step up and take down the Bank Elitests, The people and the president who continue to lie to us. Obama is a lie, and guess what, in 2012 or 2016, Bank Elitests will have another Puppet, until the Elitests complete their plan to turn us, The Innocent American People, into slaves, this will be a worldwide problem. Innocent people will be turned into SLAVES!, Unless you, thats right YOU can stand up, gather a alliance and stop the Elitests, only then we will be free.

So what about when the French wanted change?

What about when Ghandi and the Indian people wanted change?

What about when our founding fathers wanted change?

You don't seem to be looking at this universally.

Nether did the people who wanted change, when ever anyone said "Change from what to what?" the just said "Like Gandhi! besides anything’s better then these republicans!" they never stopped to think about the other possibilities. They weren’t looking at the election very universally either.

So did african americans with civil rights, so did Martin Luther with the church. I'm talking about the old Luther of the 1500's not the new one, and I don't agree with him either, I just think that he is a significant historical figure that is seen in a positive light in some religious circles. He was also a conservitive in some issues, or at least, he borrowed some policies from the past, with anti-semitism being the one most prominent in my mind currently.

Your right, however, none of your examples show someone who has, or wants to have, political power.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think change, in and of itself, is a bad thing. However, Obama, and to a lesser extent McCain, have a bad habit of preaching change, but what kind of change they fail to mention. I merely think that the Candidates need to tell us voters exactly what they want to do and stop orating, mudslinging, and otherwise misleading the common people that are going to put them in office.

You know, I really want to be a Democrat. I tried really hard to like Obama. And there are some aspects of liberalism that I really like. But when I hear about bullshit like global warming, hate crime/hate speech laws, and gun control—well, I just can't fully bring myself to that mental level.

Not that I like McCain any better. If I could vote, I'd just fill in Theodore Roosevelt. We need a guy like him; he'd just kick everyone's ass and eat the other politicians alive. And honestly, if he can bring down bears (both literally and metaphorically), no foreign invader's gonna get to us.

And our first black president has to be 50 Cent, because then he'd be impossible to assassinate.

I would greatly more appreciate people looking into greater details in such situations. Obama is simply getting people into a fad frenzy. Crowds love getting into those kinds of things!

However, I do like the sound of 'Change'... We need to bump up our military's weapon quality and protect our borders! And kicking the freaking democrats out would be a nice touch as well.

Marvelous work yet again as well! I look forward to seeing more well put ideas!

well im all for it. And yes, people need to know the facts before they vote. Personally I think you should have to take a literacy test and an affluency test before you can vote, or course, that would decriminate agaist somebody (like the people that load people on buses and drive them to the polls and brainwash them into voting for the liberal candidate.).

I do not believe there should be any test because I do not believe there should be any vote.
Why should the minority be bound by the mob? Let us get rid of this system of 'democracy', it is just communism, as the founding fathers said: Democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where 51% steal the rights of 49%.
What we need is a libertarian system, where nobody can vote away your rights or vote in a dictator, where the individual holds the power, not the majority.

Well at least we can't actually vote in a dictator... Any US president who tried to fashion himself a dictator would be killed by his own guards.
