weapon concept, haze rifle by Coonass weapon concept, haze rifle by Coonass
These are concepts for the "Black Age" table top wargame. these guns are going to be used mostly by the Confederate Marine Corps. They work by launching an small obsidian shaft or bolt at high speeds using a rail style lauch system. As the shaft leaves the rifle it coated with an energy "haze" that burns and destroys organic tissue. The rationale is that a smaller projectile will give it an increased chance of pentrating body armor while an actuall solid projectile will give it more stopping power than a laser.

the magazine is placed at the extreme rear of the rifle because, since it works on a rail launch system, there is no hammer mechanism needed to lauch the round.

the large smooth things on top of the rifles are heatsinks meant to cool the weapon.

the third rifle from the top is meant to be used by soldiers in battlesuits, so the trigger, grip and furiture are larger.

Would you be okay with me using your concept to make a 3D model? Second from the top is the one catching my eye.
I will definitely credit you.

Yeah, the HAZE gun like electrocutes people and disables people. I like your idea though. Check out my art! I'm actually drawing now. ^_^

FYI, there is a weapon that looks and has a similar name to this. The "HAZE Gun" from Project: Snowblind is an EMP/Telsa weapon. This may be considered a copy of it.

Thanks for the warning, I've never played Project Snowblind (although I think I saw it on a store shelf once). In truth my inspiration for this was the shock rifle from UT2004.
